December Playlist

I was always an angel at the nativity play.
It's December! Where has this year gone? Tis' the season to over eat, listen to cheesy pop music and give each other overpriced gifts neither of us really want. Whoopie! I'll stop being a scrooge now and get down to the important stuff: what music will I be listening to up until the new year!

Mariah Carey- All I Want For Christmas: Lets get the Christmas cheese out the way first shall we? This song pops up around this time every year and it really is a typical cheesy Christmas song but that is why everyone loves it

Band Aid Thirty- Do They Know it's Christmas: Probably the most important song of the year. I'm not sure how much publicity this song has worldwide but Sir Bob Geldolf has done it again and rounded up the world biggest musical acts to create the now iconic Christmas song he first released thirty years ago to raise money to help fight the current Ebola crisis in West Africa. No song is more important than this one right now.

Tom Odell- Real Love- Again, I don't know how much worldwide publicity this song has but is currently on one of the biggest Christmas adverts here in Britain at the moment. Every year, John Lewis make the most adorable Christmas advert and 2014 is no exception. If you haven't seen it, here's the link. Monty the penguin is the cutest!

Rixton- Wait on me: This song has been in my head constantly for the past couple of week and I have no idea why. It's just really catchy and quite fun to attempt to whistle along to.

5 Seconds Of Summer- What I Like About You: Just when you thought I may of finally stopped the 5SOS obsession, boom! I hit you with another. This is a cover of The Romantics and I absolutely love this song, possibly even more now that they've covered it. It's a real fun track which is exactly what you need at this time of year.

Taylor Swift- Blank Space: Okay, I feel like I may have a slight Taylor Swift Obsession as I've just realised she's never released a song that I don't like. The music video for this track is absolutely stunning and a little bit funny too; the best combination. Is it possible for me to own Taylor Swift wardrobe? Because that would be amazing!

McBusted- What Happened to Your Band?: This sounds like proper old-school Busted and McFly which, in other words, means it is perfection. It's brand new yet nostalgic at the same time which is totally insane but brilliant.

All Time Low- I Feel Like Dancin': I rediscovered this little beauty the other month and I am properly obsessed. I've been really getting into All Time Low again, and it's the party season so everyone should feel like dancin'. ;)

There we go, the music I will be celebrating to this Christmas and new year. As always, here's a link to the YouTube version so that you can listen to any that pick your fancy. Do you have any favourite seasonal songs or have any exciting plans for the holidays? Tell me in the comments, I'd love to know.

This was our family photo on Christmas day in 2012... we are a strange bunch!
