Maybelline ExpertWear Blush

I've never really seen what the fuss is all about with blusher. Why cover up naturally rosey cheeks with founation if all you're going to do is put on blusher to make them rosey again. But, its kind of just clicked in my head, it makes sense now. Blush helps your face glow, give it definition and look healthy depending on what shade you choose. It's the same as contouring, it really is the same product. A face covered in foundation doesn't look natural but blush can help give a more natural appearance to the skin. So, with my new found understanding for the product, I decided I ought to try one out.

I searched for awhile, not really sure which one was for me. In the end, I settled with Maybelline's ExpertWear Blush in Rosewood (62). Maybelline claim that this blush lasts for up to 6 hours without colour fade and keeps a freshly applied look for hours. Now, I don't know about the lasting power the blush has but it survived the whole of prom and that must count for something. Again, not sure about freshly applied but it stayed, I didn't have to reapply once so, with that, I'm impressed. The blush is soft and is easy to apply. I'm a little messy at it myself but that's because I'm quite new to it. The ExpertWear blush comes with its own brush which feels abit plasticky but it does the job.

ExpertWear Blush comes in five colours which are all fairly neutral and would compliment most skin tones. I have the shade rosewood which I think compliments my skin tone well. It's tiny, glittery particles make my cheeks glow. As for the pinky colour, it gives my cheeks a rosey look while making my face look warmer.

Overall, I like Maybelline's ExpertWear Blush as it works well on my skin. If you, like me, are reluctant to try blushes I do recommend you give them a go. I mean, what's the worst that could happen?
