Lets Go To The Beach

Being on a small island has its perks, such as being surrounded by beautiful beaches. So it surprised me yesterday when I realised I hadn't been to the beach yet this year. Since the weather has been amazing recently, I decided to meet up with a friend at the beach.

However, the weather didn't quite meet our expectations. There was so much fog it was difficult to see anything further than a meter away. We were so surprised as it was lovely and sunny at our homes. Nevertheless, it was still warm and not at all windy, so we stayed in the hopes the sea mist would clear.

Thankfully, the sun made an appearance and the fog cleared. It became the perfect beach weather. We even had a paddle in the sea and it wasn't freezing cold as usual. It was lovely.

I have so many fond childhood memories of the beach. We would spend the whole day there making sandcastles, checking out rock pools and swimming in the sea. Occasionally, we'd also have fish and chips on the beach. I know, how British. But for awhile, I fell out of love with the sandy bays. The whole idea of being covered in sand and dipping into an ocean covered in horrid looking seaweed just didn't look desirable to me anymore. But yesterday, it all came back to me. I was reminded why the beach is considered the perfect summer location. I love it and can't wait to go again.

Are you a fan of the beach? Lets chat in the comments.

  1. It is beautiful except the fogginess! You are so lucky to live there. I do like beaches but don't go there much. Are all beaches this nice? Do they have hotels/restaurants there nearby?

    1. The best beachs have hotels right next to them. Most are stunning where I live but there are a few that aren't the best. Xx
