Blogmas | Christmas Wish List

Christmas Wish List

I can't get onto my laptop right now so I can't get an old Christmas photo for this post but I'm trying harder to get into the festive spirit by making a little Christmas wish list. Since its the weekend I wanted to try and make the post more interesting for you. I know browsing through clothes is a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine so I hope you guys enjoy the slight post change. Here we go!

New Look Black dress
I was just randomly scrolling through dresses when this one popped out of nowhere. I absolutely love the floral pattern and the lace detail on the back and it can easily be worn all year round.

Missguided short skirt
To be honest, I love the whole outfit but the skirt in particular is really cool. It's the perfect shape and I love the colour.

Next Black romper
I saw this playsuit in Jersey but I didn't have enough time to try it on so never brought it in the end. Totally regret it as it would be amazing for Christmas parties.

River Island black shorts
I think I may have an addiction to shorts. I just love them all. I like how this pair are hig-waisted and the cut would be really flattering on.

Soap & Glory Body cleanser
Huge love for this body wash. I haven't brought it I. Awhile and I'm really missing it. The sweet scent is just incredible and it always leaves my skin feeling really soft. It's a must-have!

Zoella Body moisturizer
I actually got this for my birthday over a month and I'm going through it like crazy. It's amazing and I need more.

Marks and Spencer Floral throw pillow
This is another item I found through scrolling which I instantly fell in love with. I've been wanting to get new cushion for my room so I can swap them around and mix and match for a while now and I think this could look really cute in my room.

Paperchase Notebooks
Some people get tones of notebooks that they never write in, I seem to have the opposite problem. I haven't brought a notebook in years but I've filled up all my old ones years ago with lists, sleepover ideas and terrible song lyrics I made up myself (safe to say I'm not going to be the next Taylor Swift). I am in desperate need if some new notebooks!

Amazon 10 Silver Star Battery Operated LED Fairy Lights By Lights4fun:...
The one thing I don't have in my room that I would really like is fairy lights. So when I found these really cute star ones I got really excited. I will find a way for them to work in my room.

Very.co.uk Fearne Cotton Cat Cushion
I am obsessed with Fearne Cotton's home and fashion collection for Very, I just wish I could have it all. However, I will behave myself and showcase just one of my favourites. This cushion has the most beautiful design. I love that Fearne is a crazy cat lady like me and I love the idea of the cat hiding behind the mask. I just love it.

Mothers Day Gift Ideas

When I think gifts for Mums, luxury is one of the first words that pop into my head. Our Mums work hard to look after us so the least we can do is spoil them once in a while, and that is the whole point of Mother's Day. Gift buying isn't always the easiest task to undertake, so I created this collage of gift ideas to help those, like myself, in need of a little inspiration. This list is full of items I know my Mum likes so I assume most Mums like a lot of this too. As it's spring, I've gone with a lot of more light and pastel colours. Beauty products, scented candles and jewellery are fairly classic Mum gifts, my Mum also lives in sunglasses (oh so glamorous) and spring showers means that an umbrella makes a cute and practical gift.

If you're on a small budget, like myself, luxury gifts aren't always the most affordable of gifts. However, I'm a firm believer that it's the thought that counts. My gift this year is very unlikely to consist of expensive jewellery or scented candles but more handmade cards and breakfast in bed (that maybe more my sister as she can actually cook!) which I know my Mum is going to love just as much as any of these items on this list.

Your Mum loves you no matter what, so my advice would be to think of a gift that has real meaning and thought behind it.

It's march so, despite it still being a little chilly, I'm announcing it as ok to talk about spring/summer clothing. And a trend that I am really excited about this season is retro. This will be full of prom-esque tea dresses, high waisted clothing and, of course, statement red lips. Think Audrey Hepburn with a modern twist and you're there. I love sixties fashion so I am ecstatic that the shops will be crammed full of sixties style clothing, it just sounds like heaven!

This look centres around the gorgeous retro prom-style dress. Polka-dots seem to be everywhere at the moment which I think adds to the retro vibe of this dress. I kept the accessories of this look a very neutral tone with the bag, watch and little ankle boots the same colour in order for the stunning flower necklace to pop out and truly make a statement. I thought this was important with such a pretty piece of jewellery. However, this can be easily interchanged with a bold red lip colour to create another stunning look.

P.s. Are you a fan of vintage-style jewellery? Forage and Finds are a mother and daughter team who handmade beautiful jewellery out of vintage items. The jewellery is truly stunning and they are well worth checking out. I'll leave the link here.

Does it make me a bad blogger for only just discovering Polyvore? It's an amazing app where you can create amazing collages/photo montages of your favourite clothing, beauty and interior items. This is fab for fellow bloggers as you can easily create wish-lists or outfits that you can then share easily here on blogger. Now outfit posts aren't limited to just your wardrobe, but every item of clothing on the app. This is especially great for me as I can create looks/outfits with clothing from sites that don't deliver to my island, giving me a wider variety of stores to choose from and share with you.
Here's an outfit I created using the app. Another great feature of the app is the ability to add text, images (like this cute little sketch of a girl with a retro camera) and even magazine articles. You can change the colour and fonts of text and change the background too. You can search for specific clothing types or brands like it did here. I am in love with these shoes and I am going to be searching for this dress in store on the weekend.
Okay Taz, stop there before you sound crazy! If you don't already have Polyvore, I strongly recommend it. If you do, tell me so I can follow you!
It's only half way through the week but hey, only two days to the weekend! Have a great rest of the week and hopefully I'll write to you again this weekend.
