My favourite trend for this summer is monochrome. It is so easy to wear and very versatile. You can really wear it at any occasion which I think gives it that edge. Anyone can wear it and, even when it's not in mainstream trends, it will forever be in fashion. It's a classic that can be incorporated into a persons unique style and personality.
Although its focus is on two main colours, black and white, there is this sense of freedom with monochrome that you can do whatever you want with it. You can be extremely casual and current with humbug stripe shorts and a baggy t-shirt with a pair of converses. Or, be retro and feminine in a patterned play-suit or dress partnered with a pair brogues. From weddings to picnics to the work place, I don't know where monochrome looks wildly out of place.
There's no boundaries with make-up either. You can go with a natural look or go all out crazy with colour. It's the same with accessories, you can stick with the monochrome theme or pick eye-popping colours. I think monochrome is great if you really want to focus on accessories as it really highlights them, especially if they are brightly coloured.
However, in the summer do you really want to wear any black? Well, yes, I do! Being in Britain, our spring hasn't got off to a great start (snow, lots of snow) so summer isn't looking great and there usually is cool breeze. But if you live somewhere a bit warmer, this could be a problem for you. Saying that, it's not like you're head to toe in black and this trend still looks super cool in extreme heat.
Tell me what you think in the comments. Do you like monochrome or do you prefer being colourful?

Outfit Thief: Bridget Mendler
Ever watched a music video or a television show and thought,'I wish I owned those clothes!' This happens to me almost every time I turn on the TV and I can end up searching for hours on the Internet for similar outfits or clothing to what I've seen on my TV screen.
For Christmas, I was given a miss guided star print jumper and have been struggling to put together a good outfit. But then along came Bridget Mendler to solve all my problems. In her music video for 'Ready or Not,' Bridget wears a very similar jumper to the one I own. After rummaging through my wardrobe for other pieces much like Bridget's, my version was born.
Ta-dah!
What I love about this outfit is that it is so easy to create. You can choose your own patterns and colours to make it unique to you. Her style is fun and light-hearted which I really like. Also, it's really comfy and casual, perfect for any spring day. I am slightly jealous of Bridget's backdrop for her photo though; you can see a beautiful city on a lovely sunny day whereas I have the front of my house... Glamorous?
I really enjoyed making this post and I think I will continue making some like this in the future. But I would love to know what you think, feel free to leave a comment if you wish to.

How To: Ombré Nails
A major trend this summer is ombré: it's bright, colourful and fun! But, spending money on expensive clothes sometimes seems a bit much just to be on trend. So, I thought I would teach you my favourite way to wear ombré- nails!
All you need is:
A nail file
2 different nail varnishes (any colour or brand works)
A sponge (I use make-up blenders but a normal sponge works just as well)
Optional, top and base coat
Step one.
File those nails. You want to give them shape and curve the edges so they aren't sharp. I find painted nails have that little bit of edge if they have been filed and shaped.
Step two.
Choosing your colours. You can use any colour you want. I find that a nude colour is fantastic for the base as it goes with any colour you like. Light to dark pink is also a great combo. (My two colours are nude and raspberry.)
Step three.
Painting the base. If you want, paint a layer of base coat on your nails and wait until dried. This protects your nails from being stained as well as helping the polish to glide on smoothly and stick. However, I'm terribly impatient and never put it on. So, paint on your base colour to your nails and allow to dry. For more intense colour, paint on another coat.
Step four.
Ombré it. Get your sponge and paint a line of your base colour onto the edge of it. Then, paint a line of your second colour directly above the base colour line like in the picture below. Now, dab the sponge onto your nails so that the tip on your nails are covered by your second colour. You may have to reapply paint to your sponge.
Step five.
To finish. If needed, use nail varnish remover to remove any nail varnish that got onto your fingers. You can also paint top coat onto your nails to protect their colour and stop them from chipping.
And now you have the trendiest nails on the street!
I'm a complete novice when it comes to make-up but I am trying to learn. I thought a good idea would be to do 'How To' posts on make-up so I can help those like me who really want to get into wearing make-up but don't know where to begin. So hopefully in the near future I will have some of them for you.

Easter Shopping
Easter holidays, 2 weeks off school, plenty of time for shopping!
Ok, so I was supposed to be revising which I did but online shopping is such a distraction. Also I still have gift cards from Christmas which I really should spend. My Easter holidays have finished now, although I know many people still have another week, so here's a collection of thing I brought during my two week holiday.
Missguided.co.uk: This is my favourite shop to order from! I buy from here so much, the clothes just look amazing and are good quality. If I could own very item from the site I would!
Play-suit onesie: I think this is just adorable. It's a onesie, but short! The fabric is really soft and comfy to wear, plus burgundy is one of my favourite colours. There is a range of colours it comes in and there is an alternative style without 'GEEK' written across the front. If you aren't keen on onesies or just think they're a bit odd, I really recommend you try one. I used to think 'why would you wear an oversized baby grow? Why would you do that?' But when you put one on, your opinion just changes immediately; they are ridiculously comfortable!
T-shirt: I thought this would be great for casual spring days as its lightweight, oversized and goes perfectly with a pair of shorts or jeans. The fabric is soft and would definitely buy another colour from the large selection available. The downside is that it looks fairly masculine, in fact, I have seen a guy in a shirt identical to mine. Which is a bit embarrassing but if you accessorise it should look good.
Shoes: I've never really been keen on this style of shoe but thought I'd try it for school as my pumps have been hurting my feet. I like the design on them and they look good on, but I'm not sure how well they'll go with my uniform. Also, when trying them on they started hurting my feet. I often find shoes hurt my feet and finding shoes that don't is rare, especially for school.
Newlook: I received many gift cards for my Birthday and Christmas which I hadn't spent so I thought it would be a good idea for a shopping spree.
Socks: Newlook always have a 3 for 2 offer on socks which I take most times I shop there. The designs are always cute and fun and the socks are long lasting. What's not to love?
Bracelets: I currently find myself with hardly any jewelry so, keen to change this, I brought this lovely collection of bead and chain bracelets. I'm a massive fan of the monochrome trend which is what attracted me to these bracelets. I really like them and they go with most items.
Bag: For awhile now I've been looking for a little satchel bag that I could use often and looked good with most clothes I own. I have been using the same small bag for about three years now and it's about time I replaced it. I wasn't sure about the tan colour but now I'm happy with it. Bags like these are perfect for your purse and phone.
Skorts: Probably one of the oddest pieces of clothing ever created, shorts are not something I ever thought I would own. However, I absolutely love them! The brightly coloured tribal print is not something I usually go for but the carnival vibe I get from it is really nice.
Lipstick: Barry M is well known for its candy coloured make up and I use their nail polishes. I decided to try a lipstick from their range but I'm not keen. I brought the shade baby pink which was a mistake, it is far too light for me. And maybe because of this, the coverage isn't particularly great. Maybe a darker colour would be better but I think I will stick to nail products when it comes to Barry M.
Other:
Company Magazine: I not sure why it has taken me so long to buy a copy of Company but I'm glad I did. It is written in a friendly style and they really know about fashion and music. I don't often find reading enjoyable but the content was really interesting.
DVD: 500 Days of Summer is a film that I have been wanting to watch for a long time so when I found it really cheap in HMV I just had to buy it. I know many people love this film and I'm joining them, it's one of those films where one minute you're smiling and the next you feel like you want to cry.
Music downloads: Two songs that I downloaded are 'Need U (100%)' by Duke Dumont feat. A*M*E, which hit number 1 this weekend, and 'Stay Out EP' by Nina Nesbitt. All are new artist on the music scene and after these tracks I really can't wait to hear more from them.
Hope you have enjoyed your holidays!

Follow Me
For weeks now I've been trying to figure out how to add buttons to the side bar that link to my social media pages but every time I try I fail miserably. So if you are interested in Twitter or Instagram, you can find links below.
My Twitter page:https://twitter.com/96_razmataz
My Instagram profile:http://instagram.com/96razmataz
I created this poster using an app on the IPad called Phoster which is currently app of the week. On the app, you can create posters and invitations using the many templates they have. You can and or edit text and add you own picture to personalize your work. It's really simple to use and the range of templates makes it easy to apply the template to anything you are working on.
Tasmin x
P.S- I changed my blog address! It's now razmataz-girl.blogspot.com. I just find numbers in web address odd and I hope this does't confuse anyone. x
