These past few months have been incredibly busy and stressful for me and it doesn't look like that's about to stop anytime soon. I am constantly loosing motivation for revision and the pressure is starting to really build up. But I felt the need to update this little blog to take a break from exams and try and recall a few things before they get crushed in my memory.
Firstly, I finished Sixth Form. My last day was the 21st of May and it still hasn't fully sunk in yet. I think I'm still at the denial stage and when my sister goes back into school after study leave I'm sure it will finally hit me. Although it was supposed to be lessons as normal, I only had one class that day and all we did was play Countdown (maths students are truly the coolest!) and then I spent the rest of the day attempting to revise in the art rooms (rather unsuccessfully). However, I did get to eat a lot of cake and that's always a good thing.
Currently, I have finished my Art and Photography coursework and I have done my maths resit which all went a little more smoothly than the previous year and I really hope this reflects in my final grades. I know it is unlikely as photography is the hardest subject to get a high grade on (you have to get no less than 100% in order to get an A* which is absolutely ridiculous for such a subjective subject) and so many people have told me what I should of done to solve the questions in my maths resit (nobody is good at Core 2 so I think I'm fine). But nevertheless, I have my fingers crossed! I still have another three maths exams before I am free and the revision for them is slowly destroying my optimism. A-Level Maths is hard.
Finally, last week was my Year 13 Leavers Prom which I still wish was timed to after the A-Level exams but hey, I don't schedule school events. A few of us got ready at a friends house so we could all go together and absolutely everyone looked stunning. Despite feeling ill the entire night (I had a stomach ache and developed a headache throughout the night and I still am unsure as to why), I had a really good time and the prom committee did really well to produce this all by themselves. The DJ may of been a bit hit-or-miss, but you cannot deny that everyone got on the floor for the 'Grease Medley' and a bit of Taylor Swift, and I was particularly impressed with the odd hit from 5 Seconds of Summer and S Club 7. We had a buffet which I generally avoided due to feeling unwell but the dessert of a chocolate shell filled with strawberries and cream was delicious. My only wish is that I was feeling good and up for taking more photos as I have very few of the event and even fewer of everyone in their outfits. There will always be more parties...
I feel really guilty for abandoning my blog for such a long time and with more exams and events coming up, I feel that my past blog routine has slowly become a distant memory. However, it is very nearly June which can only mean one thing; the 30 Snap Challenge. I have done this for the past two years and I am keen to keep to this tradition however I am not aware of anyone else doing the challenge this year so if you are please mention it in the comments and we can do it all together.
I'm sorry for such a lengthy post and for leaving you for so long, but I believe we are all caught up now and I can't wait to talk some more in June.
Tasmin x
